Proceedings were instuted in Justice Bray's court and tried out here Monday in which it was sought to require, Bill Dunn, a colored man residing in the Hestand neighborhood, to excute bond for his good behavior for a period of time. After an investigation of the matter, and the hearing of much evidence, the court decided that Dunn's conduct was such as did not require a bond for his good behavior and thereupon dismissed the suit. The proceedings were institured by Walter Jamerson, who claimed that the negro had been carrying a gun for him and that he was in great danger by being killed by him. The proof showed that Jamerson had been carrying his gun, and seemingly than no other purpose than to exterminate the negro upon the least provocation. Justice Bray was generally complimented for his decision and disposition of the case by those who heard the ______ Atty Sh_______ _______ resented and is cre____ for making one of his scathing speeches.
