Mrs. Lucy Howard Bowles 65 Dies of Pneumonia -1943

After four days in the community hospital with double pneumonia Mrs. Lucy Howard Bowles wife of George Barnett Bowles died Sunday night November 28, at the age of 65.

Since early womanhood Mrs. Bowles had been a member of the Baptist Church. Services were held at Sulpher Lick Tuesday with Bro. C.E. Carter in charge. An unusually large throng of sarrowing relatives and friends attended.

Besides her husband five children survive: Paul and Dennis Bowles Sulpher Lick. Mrs. Max Ritter Barren Co. Mrs. Gracie Strode and Mrs Clarence Fergason of Ill. All were present at the funeral.

Brothers are John, Beck and Carl Howard Sulpher Lick. Sisters are: Mrs. John L. Bushong Summer Shade; Mrs Tommy Bowman Tompkinsville and Mrs. W.M. Palmer of Dallas Texas. 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
