J.T. Denham dies very unexpectedly 1893-1947
J.T. (Johnny) Denham a Sulpher Lick merchant for several years died very unexpectedly last Thursday afternoon June 5, 1947 about 2 o'clock. He had been laying off corn rows with a fast walking horse, and became to hot. He went to the house and laid down under a tree and before the family could call for assistance he was dead.
Mr. Denham was well known and highly respected in his community for his kind heart.
Funeral services at the White Cemetery on Saturday afternoon were attended by a throng of mourners. Speaking were Rev. Tom Clemm, Bro. William Howard and Rev. J. H. Swann.
His wife Nellie Walker Denham survives, also his two daughters Lou Nell and Ida Mary at home. A half-brother Clyde Denham of Arkansas.
