This is a photo of Walter Jamerson (my grgr
grandfather). Walter is on the left with the dark coat on. Randy Jobe was kind enough to
provide me with the following information about the photo.
"It was taken in downtown Tompkinsville in 1917. Kneeling L-R are Rasmus Hunter
Emmert (1894-1969), Virgil McCoy, Albert Lee Stephens. Standing L-R Walter Jamerson,
George Moore (1895-1965), Lan Miller Ford (1894-1968), Tim Coe. These men were some from
the first groups to enlist or be inducted in the Army for W.W.I. They had already had
training at Camp Taylor by the time this photo was taken in fall of 1917."
